Last Minute Change: KCSE Results Release Rescheduled To January 2024

2023 KCSE Results Updates. Ezekiel Machogu, Cabinet Secretary for Education, is scheduled to reveal the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results in January 2024. The results was supposed to be released today but the process has since been postponed.

On December 13, 2023, the marking process, which was conducted at locations like Kiambu High School and Starehe Girls Centre, came to an end.

Even though marking is complete, there have been issues with results not being released on time. As a result, the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) has asked CS Machogu to give examiners enough time to do a thorough review.

On January 2, 2024, the results will be formally released and made available on the Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS) website. Regretfully, because of technical difficulties encountered when sending out the KCPE findings, the conventional Short Messaging Service (SMS) will not be available for checking the results.

The 903,260 students who took the KCSE exams engaged in a comprehensive process, starting with projects from January to July 2023.

The release date of January 2, 2024, comes after KNUT’s National Vice Chairperson, Aggrey Namisi, expressed concerns about the rushed release of KCPE results, resulting in inaccuracies. KNUT urged CS Machogu to ensure thorough analysis before releasing the KCSE results, emphasizing the need for credible and accurate outcomes.

Additionally, the article provides a list of the top 100 schools nationally in the KCSE 2022 results, showcasing their mean scores. Nyambaria High School claimed the top spot with a mean score of 10.89.
